Common of Saints

Common of Saints is a festal service in honor of a particular kind or class of saints, e.g. a martyr, a virgin, or confessor; suitable, consequently, for any festival commemorating one of the class in which the name of the saint commemorated is introduced in the collect and at the other appointed places.
