Collins, Levi

Collins, Levi a Presbyterian minister, was born at Somers, Connecticut, February 12, 1777. After receiving a careful academic education, he graduated at Yale College in 1802. He was ordained by the Holland Association in 1832. On account of ill-health he did not take a pastoral charge, but spent most of his time in teachings He was principal of Monroe Academy, Mass., for eight years, and died at Belvidere, Illinois, December 10, 1859.
