Collier, William (2)

Collier, William an English divine, was born in 1742. He was for many years a tutor in Trinity College, Cambridge; rector of Orwell, Cambridgeshire; and Hebrew professor from 1771 to 1790. He died August 4, 1803, at which time he was senior fellow of Trinity College. Mr. Collier published, by subscription, Poems on Several Occasions, with Translations from Authors in Different Languages, Dedicated to Prince William of Gloucester (1800, 2 volumes, 12mo).
