Colbenschlag (or Colbenius), Stephen

Colbenschlag (or Colbenius), Stephen a German engraver, was born at Salzburg in 1591. He visited Italy early, and afterwards Rome, where he resided chiefly, and engraved several plates after the Italian masters, among which are, The Descent from the Cross; The Adoration of the Shepherds.
