Cokburne, James a Scotch clergyman, was presented by the king to the parsonage and vicarage of Ayr in 1573, with the gift of the emolument of Kilmoir; in 1576; had a presentation to the living at Muckhart in 1585, and was deposed for non-residence in 1591. See Fasti Eccles. Scoticanae, 2:776.
