Coetivy, Alain De

Coetivy, Alain De a French prelate; was born in Brittany, November 8, 1407. He was successively bishop of Dol, of Carnouailles, and of Avignon, and wnas regarded as one of the most, virtuous ecclesiastics of his time. He was made cardinal in 1448, performed many important missions, and died at Rome, July 22, 1474. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
