Coens, Henricus

Coens, Henricus a minister of the Reformed (Dutch) Church, sailed from Holland October 7, 1725. He served at.Aquackanonck (now Passaic), N.J., Second River (now Belleville), Pompton (now Pompton Plains); at Ponds from 1730, and died Feb. 14,1735. He wrote to Holland a detailed account of the troubles between the churches of Second River and Aquackanonck. See Corwin, Manual of the Ref. Church in America, 3d ed. page 213.
