Coddiani

Coddiani was, according to Epiphanius (Haer. 26, page 85), a nickname given to an impure sect of Gnostic heretics. He explains the word as "plattermen," deriving it from a Syriac word, codda (Aram. קוּד), a platter or dish; and says they got the name because, on account of their "pollution," no one could eat with them, and it was necessary that their food should be given to them separately.
