Cocking, Thomas
Cocking, Thomas an English Wesleyan minister, entered the sacred work in 1819, and for more than half a century was a practical, earnest preacher, greatly beloved., He died at Alford, October 6, 1870, in his eighty-first year. Mr. Cocking wrote, A Sketch of Wesleyan Methodism, with its History in the Grantham Circuit (1836, 12mo): — Sabbath Desecration (London, 1847, 2d ed. 12mo), an excellent practical tractate.
