Clark, John (4)

Clark, John (3), a Free-will Baptist minister, was born in Maine in 1793. His parents being in straitened circumstances, were unable to do much in the way of giving him an education. He had reached the age of thirty-eight before he was ordained to the work of the ministry, yet he preached for nearly forty years. His last residence was in Prospect, Me., where he died, Aug. 8,1871.: See Free-will Baptist Register, 1873, 83. (J. C. S.)
