Clark, Albert G

Clark, Albert G., a Universalist minister, was born at Preston, Chenango Co., N. Y., Sept. 21, 1811. He received a liberal education; began school-teaching at the age of seventeen; commenced the study of theology in 1835, and in 1837 was ordained to the ministry. After laboring several years as missionary at Upper Lisle; he removed successively to Speedsville; to McLean, in 1840; to Beaver Dam, in 1851; to Branchport, in 1856; to McLean again, in 1860, and, in 1861, to De Ruyter (all in New York), where he remained until his death, Nov. 28, 1873. Mr. Clark was an active and efficient agent in the circulation of his denominational literature; a zealous and untiring preacher; pure in his private life, genial in his manners, kind-hearted and full of sympathy.
