Chronicon Edessenitm
Chronicon Edessenitm is an anonymous Syriac chronicle, published by Assemani (Bibl. Orient. 1:387), apparently compiled about A.D. 550. The writer was orthodox, and expressly recognises the first four general councils, though one doubtful passage has brought him under suspicion of Pelagianism (page 402). He places the birth of Christ two years before the vulgar computation.
