Chene, Heirome

Chene, Heirome (or Thomas Jeromy), a Scotch clergyman, was the first Protestant minister at Tingiwall, appointed in 1567, having one third of the benefice for his stipend. He resigned in favor of his son -in 1572, but continued in 1580, and died in 1584. See' Fasti Eccles. Scoticalce, iii, 429.
