Chase, Moses

Chase, Moses, a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born at Newton, N. H., in 1803. He experienced religion at twenty-three, and in 1833 united with the New Hampshire Conference, in which he. served until his sudden death, Jan. 7, 1866. Mr. Chase possessed more than ordinary ministerial ability. About five thousand were added to the Church through his instrumentality, thirty of whom became ministers.
