Charteris, John, A.M., a Scotch clergyman, son of the professor of divinity at Edinburgh, took his degree at that university in 1624; was elected and presented to the living at Currie in 1631, and died Feb. 14, 1668, aged about sixty-four years. See Fasti Eccles. Scoticance, i, 145. .
