Chartenius, Saint, is supposed to have been bishop of Marseilles. He took part with Avitus, bishop of Vienne, at a conference of Catholic and Arian bishops, held at Lyons about 499, when king Gundobald was present (Avit. Vieu. Epist. xxviii).
