Cavagna, Giovanni Paolo
Cavagna, Giovanni Paolo an Italian painter, was born at Borgo di San Leandro, near Bergamo, in 1560, and probably studied under Titian. His best fresco work is The Assumption in Santa Maria Maggiore, at Venice. Two of his best oil paintings are The Nativity and Esther before Ahasuerus, in the same church.
