Cati, Pasquale
Cati, Pasquale a Roman painter, flourished during the pontificates of Gregory XIII, Sixtusas V, and Clement VIII. He was employed in the Vatican, where he painted The Passion of Christ, and several friezes in the Sala Clementina. He also painted the chapel of cardinal Altemps, with subjects from the life of the Virgin. He died in the pontificate of Paul V, aged seventy.
