Cassiani, Padre Stephano

Cassiani, Padre Stephano (called il Cersosino), an Italian painter, lived at Lucca about 1660. He painted in fresco the cupola of the church of the Carthusians dt Lucca, also two altar-pieces, representing subjects from the life of the Virgin, and several works for other churches of that order in Pisa, Siena, and elsewhere.
