Cassana, Giovanni Francesco

Cassana, Giovanni Francesco an Italian painter, was born at Genoa in 1611, and studied under Strozzi. He passed some time at the archduke's court in Mirandola, where he painted a picture of St. Girolamo, in the dome of the church, besides other creditable pictures. He died in 1691, See Spooner, Biog.
