Carolus, Johannes

Carolus, Johannes a Belgian monk and historian, was born at Antwerp in 1526. He was a member of the grand council of Malines, an eminent jurist, a scholar and historian. He died at Malines in 1597, leaving Memoires Histories (published long after his death). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Géneralé, s v.
