Capocchi, Alessandro

Capocchi, Alessandro, an Italian monk, of the family of the following, was born at Florence, Oct. 14, 1515. At the age of twelve he entered the Dominican order, and made great progress in the Oriental languages. He died at Florence, Oct. 8, 1581. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
