Caperole, Pietro
Caperole, Pietro, a Venetian theologian, of the order of Observantists, gained great celebrity by his preaching. In 1472 he caused the withdrawal of several convents, and formed a new order called Caperolans. Although pope Sextus IV did not favor this, nevertheless, in 1480, he accorded to him the convent of Velletri. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
