Capelli, Giovanni Maria,
abbot, an Italian canon and composer, was born at Parma. In 1690 he was appointed canon of the cathedral of his native city, and afterwards was chosen composer at the court of the grand-duke Ranuco II. He wrote a great deal for the theatre.
