Cantagallina, Reigi

Cantagallina, Reigi, an Italian designer and engraver, was born at Florence in 1582 (others say 1556), and studied engraving under Giulio Parigii. He also had the credit of being the instructor of Callot and Della Bella. He died in 1630. - His principal religious work is The Immaculate Conception, after a painting by Callot. See Hoefer, Nouv.
