Camusat, Nicolas

Camusat, Nicolas a French ecclesiastic, was canon of. Troyes, in Champagne, where he was born in 1575, and died Jan. 20, 1655. He edited Chronologia Seriem Temporumn et Historiam Rer-um ii Orbe Gesta-rum Continens, from the creation to the year of Christ 1200, by an anonymous monk of Auxerre (Troyes, 1680, 4to): — A Collection of the Ecclesiastical Antiquities of Troyes, in Latin (ibid. 1610): — Historia Albigenesium, by an eye-witness (first published from the MSS. in 1615; was translated into French by Sorbin, and published at Paris): — Miscellanea, a curious collection of acts, treatises, epistles, etc., from 1390 to 1580; besides many other works.
