Camphari, Giacomo
Camphari, Giacomo, an Italian theologian, was born at Genoa in 1440, and became a member of the Dominican order. He went to England, to finish his studies at Oxford, where he was made a-licentiate in philosophy. On his return to Italy he published De Immortalitate Animce, Opusculum in Modunm Dialogi (Rome, 1473; Milan, 1475; Vienna, 1477; Cosenza, 1478). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
