Callicfilse were ornaments for the alb or white tunic, made either of some richly colored stuff or of metal. Examples of these may. be seen in Perret, Catacombs de Rome, i, pl. 7; and Garrucci, Vetri Ornati, vi, 5; xxv, 4.
