Calen, Schotto

Calen, Schotto a German theologian, was born at Riga. He studied at Giessen, and became Lutheran pastor of St. Peter's, in his native place, where he remained till his death, July 10, 1657. He was the author of Theoremata Philosophica (Giessen, 1615) :-Delicice Paschales :-and some Sermons in German. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v..
