Byzas

Byzas the founder of Byzantium, now called Constantinople, was said to have sprung from the gods, being a son of Poseidon and Ceroessa, the daughter of Zeus and Io. But Byzas was really the name of the leader of the Megarians, who founded Byzantium B.C. 658.
