Bruce, Andrew

Bruce, Andrew a Scottish prelate, was archdeacon of St. Andrew's, after which he was preferred to the see of Dunkeld in 1679, but was deprived in 1686 for non- compliance with the measures of the court. In 1688 he was restored to the bishopric of Orkney. He died in March 1700. See Keith, Scottish Bishops, page 229.
