Brown, John (4)
a minister of the Scotch Church at Rotterdam, died in 1679. He published, Christ the Way, the Truth, and the Life (1677): — Quakerism the Pathway to Paganism, in answer to R. Barclay's Apology (1678): — An Explanation of the Epistle to the Romans (1679). In theology he was a Calvinist of the old school, and a man of learning and piety.
