Brown, Horace

Brown, Horace a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born in Kennebec County, Maine, November 11, 1799. He removed to Indiana with his parents while quite young, joined the Church when about eighteen, and subsequently became a member of the Missouri Conference, and in it labored many years with great distinction. He died January 1, 1872. Mr. Brown, in his ministerial and domestic life, was an exemplary man. See Minutes of Annual Conferences of the M.E. Church South, 1872, page 737.
