Brittain, Joseph, an English Wesleyan minister, was born at Wednesbury, Staffordshire, in 1784. He joined the Methodist Church in early life, and the itinerancy in 1806. He died in the work, November 28, 1821. "He was of a meek and quiet spirit." See Minutes of the British Conference, 1822.
