Brigandine
Brigandine is an old English word, signifying a coat of scale armor, but now obsolete in this sense; used in Jer 46:4; Jer 51:3, for the Heb. סַריוֹן, siryon' (occurring only in these passages), doubtless the same as the שַׁריוֹן, shiryon', a "coat of mail" (1Sa 17:5,38) or corselet.
