Brandi, Giacinto

Brandi, Giacinto an Italian painter, was born at Poll, in 1623, and studied under Cav. Gio. Lanfranco. His best works are said to be at Gaeta, where he painted in the Nunziata a picture of the Virgin and Infant Christ; Ten Angels, in the inferior part of the Duomo; and over the altar the Martyrdom of St. Erasmus, bishop of Gaeta.
