Bradfield, John of
Bradfield, John Of, an English prelate, was a native of Bradfield, Berkshire. He became chanter and bishop of Rochester, probably in 1274. "Vir conversationis honestse decnter literatus, et in omnibus morigeratus." His surname was sometimes written John de Hoe. See Fuller, Worthies of England (ed. Nuttall), 128.
