Bradberry, David

Bradberry, David, an English Dissenting minister, was born Nov. 12, 1735, at Reeth, Yorkshire. He spent the early part of his life in business, and when twenty- three years old entered Homerton Academy, where he remained three years and a half. He began his ministerial career April 25, 1762, as an assistant to the Rev. Mr. Sayer, at Alnwick, Northumberland; and in April, 1764, removed to Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. On Oct. 11, 1767, he removed to Ramsgate, at which place he was ordained. After spending eighteen years in Ramsgate, he proceeded to Manchester, where he remained ten years; but some unpleasant disputes arising, he resigned his office and went to London. There he leased a hall and endeavored to gather a congregation. but not meeting with the success anticipated, and the expenses of the place being heavy, he disposed of it.
