Boyd, John (3)
Boyd, John (3), an English Wesleyan minister, was born at Douglas, Isle of Man, July 14, 1796. He was converted at nineteen under Dr. Raffles, in Liverpool; was ordained in 1823 for the Newfoundland Wesleyan mission; labored in that island until 1832; returned to his native land; preached until 1864; retired to Lymm, near Warrington, and died Jan. 15, 1868.
