Boyd, James (2)

Boyd, James (2), a Presbyterian minister, was ordained by the First Presbytery of Philadelphia in 1770, and installed pastor of the Presbyterian churches of Newtown and Bensalem, Pa., where he remained for forty-three years. He was a graduate of Princeton College. In 1781 he was elected a trustee of that college, which position he resigned in 1800. He died in 1813. Mr. Boyd's influence was widely felt.
