Bolles, Matthew

Bolles, Matthew a Baptist minister, son of David, was born at Ashford, Conn., April 21, 1769. He began to preach at Lyme in 1812. He was also pastor at Fairfield, at Milford, N. H., and at Marblehead and West Bridgewater, Mass. He died Sept. 26, 1838. See Sprague, Annals of the Amer. Pulpit, 6:478; Bolles Genealogy, p. 26.
