Bloomer, Joshua
Bloomer, Joshua a missionary of the Church of England, received the degree of M.A. from King's College (afterwards Columbia), N.Y., in 1761; became a merchant in New York and an officer in the provincial service; turned his attention to theology, and was ordained in England in 1765; and in 1769 became rector of the Church at Jamaica, L.
