Blodgett, Harvey

Blodgett, Harvey a Presbyterian minister, was born at Brimfield, Mass., August, 1801. He graduated at Amherst College in 1829, and then spent some time in teaching, and at intervals afterwards. As a minister, he labored principally in the northern part of Ohio. He was pastor at Euclid for six years. For five years he was agent of the American Bible Society, mostly in Central Illinois. He died in Jacksonville, Illinois, in 1850. Mr. Blodgett possessed a vigorous mind, thought deeply, reasoned justly. His religion was that of action. See Norton, Hist. of the Presb.
