Bilstein Jan a Flemish theologian, was born in 1592 at Verviers, Belgium. He aided in reorganizing the academy of Osnabruck, and died March 6, 1663, leaving several historical and poetical works, for which see Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
