Beth'elite (Heb. Beyth ha-Eli', בֵּית הָאלִֵי; Sept. ὁ Βαιθηλίτης), a designation of Hiel, who rebuilt Jericho, and experienced the curse pronounced long before (1Ki 16:34); doubtless a native of Bethel in Benjamin.
