Bernard of Bologna (1)
Bernard Of Bologna (1), a famous canonist, was born at Parma in the beginning of the 13th century. He studied at Bologna, where he also became professor of canon law, and where he died in 1266. He is known as the author, or rather collector, of the Glossa Ordinaria, SEE GLOSSES AND GLOSSATORES to the decretals of Gregory IX. (B.P.)
