Benoist canon of the Church OF ST. PETER, at Rome, lived near the middle of the 12th century, under pope Innocent II. He wrote a treatise entitled, De Ecclesiastico Ordine Totius Anni et Praecipue Apostolices Dignitatis et Totius Curice (Paris, 1689, in the Museum Italicum, ii, 118). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
