Bellaise Julien

Bellaise Julien a learned French Benedictine of the Society of St. Maur, was born at St. Symphorien, in the diocese of Avranches, in 1641. In concert with Lenourry and Jean Duchesne, he revised the manuscripts of St. Ambrose. His death prevented his completing a new edition of the Councils and Monuments of Normandy. He died at the Abbey of St. Ouen of Rouen, March 23, 1711. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
