Bassetti, Marc Antonio
Bassetti, Marc Antonio, an eminent Italian historical painter, was born at Verona in 1588, and studied under Felice Riccio, but afterwards became attached to the style of Tintoretto. He painted several pictures for the churches and public edifices of Verona, among which are a picture of St. Peter and other saints, in the Church of San Tommaso, and the Coronation of the Virgin, in the Church of St. Anastasia.
