Basil Bishop of Parium
Basil Bishop Of Parium in Mysia, on the Hellespont, and confessor. A hymn in the Mensea, assigned by Harless (ap. Fabric. Bibl. Grcec.) to April 12, but by Le Quien to March 12, commemorates his sufferings for the faith. The language employed leads Le Quieni to the conclusion that he suffered in the persecutions of the Monothelite or Iconoclast emperors. See Le Quien, Or. Christ. i, 788; Fabricius, c. 29.
